Award winning artist Lisa David was born in upstate New York, spending much of her childhood camping in the Adirondack Mountains. A child of the sixties and seventies with a suburban family a tad dysfunctional, she connects vintage subject with the playful use of color.
David spent her early years after college creating and running a successful production pottery company. The physical nature of handling clay took its toll on her back. Deciding to expand her knowledge of art, she earned her teaching degree eventually becoming a National Board Certified Art Teacher. She further developed her painting skills by attending workshops with top artists across the country. David currently teaches advanced drawing and painting at her alma mater high school in Clifton Park, NY. She still enjoys the Adirondacks painting from her cabin in the woods.
